In 1990, I attended a well-respected beauty
college in Northern California, and was trained
and certified in PivotPoint and Redken SES.
While attending school, I was hired as a wig
stylist for productions at Santa Rosa Jr.
College, as well as Saint Mary's College. After completing school, I
went on to assist at an upscale salon in downtown SF, where I received
extended education, and later received more extended education in
Berkeley.  My work was featured in a national magazine representing
Sorbie, and featured in a hair and fashion show representing L'Anza and
Blue Marlin. Later that year I and the other participants from our salon
were featured in a salon trade magazine for our contribution to the
show.  I later served as a Salon Educational Partner for Pativa (a
company that may be a division of ISO today).

My specialties include scissor-over-comb (meaning I can do "clipper cut"
length hair with scissors and comb only), point cutting, razor cuts (and
various other texture techniques), clipper cuts, chemical relaxers, and
various coloring techniques.  I use both Enamels and Goldwell color
lines, which are used by top professionals worldwide.

I am transgender (ftm- which means "female-to-male"), and people of all
genders are warmly welcomed. My clientele consists of people from all
walks of life (and I'm lucky to have a lot of wonderful people as
clients) with all types of hair (yes I can cut your curly/bone straight
hair!).  All of my clients can be assured that their needs are
respected, and I will use the best of my ability to have you leave happy
and confident.

I work out of a salon called Spencer and Company, LLC, which is in the
heart of the Castro. The salon itself is big, beautiful, b
right, and has
a great view overlooking Castro Street (so you can tune me out and
people-watch if my conversation bores you!)
. We are a collection of
attitude-free self-employed individuals. There are no employees- and
you'll find this makes for a relaxed, happy atmosphere.

I have been a stylist for over 17 years, and in September of
2004, I made the jump into self-employment- which I'm
pretty enthusiastic about!

Thank you for visiting my site!
